Call for papers:The 9th SARD Workshop

Welcome to the 9th SARD Workshop 2011! This year we will bring you the ultimate banquet of new trends, new insights, and new applications of retailing management, in the fascinating Beijing! By anchoring the main theme Managing Retailing Growth: Systems, Technology, and Innovation, this workshop will energize your thinking and imagination in the real-world retailing. The workshop agenda focuses on three key areas within that theme:
 ●Retail systems and its incumbent social and political environment
 ●New technology that enables retail growth
 ●Innovation that encourages new directions in retailing

As in previous years, the workshop will provide a multi-topical forum for scholarly presentations, discussions, and collaborations on retailing and distribution studies. Additional specific information on submissions of competitive papers is provided below. 

Important Dates
 ●Call for Paper deadline: no latter than 5pm, 31 July, 2011.
 ●Acceptance email: 31 August, 2011.
 ●Workshop: 25-27 November, 2011
 
Program Structure
This is a two-and-half-day workshop. The first date is for study tour in Beijing, featuring main trading area visits, beer factory tour, and sightseeing of The Emperor''s Summer Palace. Supper will be provided for the first date participants. In day two, there will be an opening keynote speech session in the morning, following competitive paper sessions in the afternoon. The welcome party will be held in the evening. In day three the competitive paper sessions continue until noon time, and end the workshop. Competitive paper sessions include papers that represent the completed work of their authors. The conference co-chairs will assign accepted papers to sessions that reflect similar scholarly interests. Roundtables will be held between sessions and audients are encouraged to involve in these intensive and interesting discussions. 

General Submission Guidelines
1、Submissions should not have already been published or accepted for publication in any journal. Submissions should also not include content that has been presented at earlier SARD Workshop. It is mandatory that all accepted papers are presented at the conference by an author.
2、All submission activity (submissions, reviews and notifications) for the 9th SARD will be electronic, via email address: [email protected]. Use Word 2003 or Rich Text Format file format to submit.
3、All submissions to the 9th SARD workshop require the following information:
 ●Main body of email served as the cover letter:
①Title of Submission, primary contact information: name, affiliation, mailing address, phone number and email address.
②Declaration that the submission has not been accepted for publication elsewhere.
 ●First page of the paper:
①Title of Submission.
②Primary Contact Information: name, affiliation, mailing address, phone number and email address for the author who serves as the primar
